Venues at Temenos Retreat

Cnr Voortrekker and Bree St.

The magical Temenos gardens, envisioned by Billy Kennedy, are now renowned for their tranquillity and beauty. Wander along the contemplative paths and discover a variety of Art created by Rose de La Hunt, Guy Walter and Richard Maidwell and local sculptress, Barbara Sowter. Within the grounds is a Library dedicated to Poetry from which guests are welcome to borrow a book and sit quietly in one of our many secluded corners. These are all the Venues inside Temenos :

the book lined library at the top of the garden

The Well
the much loved meditation space that draws its inspiration from the original Temenos in ancient Athens

Tucked away in a corner of the garden, Chalice is a quiet, contemplative venue

The Little Way
the chapel in the heart of the Temenos gardens

The Tree House
an intimate venue alongside our restaurant and  set high among the pecan nut trees

The Poetry Room

a small library dedicated to poetry. A resting space for our visiting poets
